"Shh, not so loud, this is a library," Joshua said. "Don't be so humble, you are funny and, I'll admit it, kind of cute." "That wasn't funny though-" I started, which he cut me off. Whenever anyone compliments me on something, it just makes me embarrassed, I have no idea why, but I just do. "You're funny, you know that?" he said, which made me blush with embarrassment again. Even if you don't make funny jokes or anything. His laugh would just about make anybody want to smile. He laughed at my small joke, which made me smile. "Yeah, I'm glad about that, otherwise, you would've found my bones in the archeologist section!" "Well, at least there's a lot of them here," he offered, and I gave him a small smile. I shrugged and responded, "I dunno, I like a lot of different books." "What kind of books do you like to read?" Joshua asked, sorting through the books on the nearby shelves. I was just a bit annoyed, but he was my friend, so I guess I'll let it off. "Sorry, I couldn't help it," Joshua apologized, to which I turned away from him. Joshua snickered softly, which made me flush. I plopped down on the beanbag chairs, which let out a small squeak. We walked down the halls to the library, which was practically empty from everyone leaving to go home. "Just going to the library, you want to come?" "Where are you headed?" he asked, blinking his sky-blue eyes. It was my friend Joshua, who admitted a while ago that he was gay. Out of the corner of my eye, I could see a blonde-haired boy, with hair draping over the right eye. Books always intrigued me, I love a good book. Now I'm struggling for ideas that aren't already used or that I feel like doing - Īfter finishing the club meeting for the day, I decide to walk to the library before I went home.
